Churchyard Footpath
A big thank you to all those who turned out to help upgrade and improve the path leading down to the end of the Churchyard. We now have an attractive, firm and robust pathway that will benefit all those visiting the Churchyard for years to come. As with the annual Churchyard Working Party, the event amply demonstrates the pride, care and commitment that the village takes both in their Church and in their local environment. Of special interest is that the stone chippings finally chosen to surface the path are very much the last of a local stone, Kentish chert, that came from an old quarry at St Julian's at Ide Hill. Up to fifteen people pitched up to help and there is a display in the back of the Church that names all those who took part and provides a photographic record of the work in progress. Once again, thank you to all those who helped.
